Do you realize the weight of your role in this society? You are responsible for improving the livelihood of many, daily — a responsibility many of us don’t understand the weight of. You literally make the world go round. Are you appreciated and recognized for your creative contributions? Are you looking for appreciation in the wrong spaces? Now, more than ever, the spaces we inhabit and items we use need to be filled with each other. We say For Us By Us, but can we truly stand by this dictum? Can we stand by this regularly in everyday practice without being connected? We believe there is true kinship within design, we’ve created a space of refuge and healing — a space where we are seen.

This space has been curated in support of the Black maker, our journey, our thoughts and our businesses. There’s a seat at the table for you, no glass ceilings. We invite you to join us on February 18th to kick it with your siblings in design. To share your thoughts with each other and the design community. We’ve onboarded fellow Black designers, journalists and vendors to promote our discussion and blur the lines of hierarchy.
